We have two elk hunts available on a private 5,000 acre ranch near Trinidad Colorado that are fast approaching. Hunters can reasonably expect a bull over 300" on this trip, with the largest bulls being in the 330-340" range (they have shot a 365" bull on this hunt, but that isn't likely on this hunt unless some serious luck is involved). Danny has been watching 2 bulls that should go in the 320"-330" range on this ranch for the past several days and those two bulls are the intended targets of this hunt. The ranch holds quite a few elk and does not get much hunting pressure each year. Expect shots to be under 250 yards on this hunt.

Hunters need to arrive in Trinidad, Colorado where they will stay at the outfitters rented house. The ranch is only about 15 minutes outside of town, so the drives in the morning will be short.

Dates:

November 4, 2011 - Arrive Trinidad, Colorado.
November 5-9 - 5 day elk hunt
November 10, 2011 - Head home


COST:

$6,500.00 - Cost of the hunt inclusive of meals, lodging, 1x1 guiding, field care of trophy and transport to and from the ranch

IF NO SHOT IS TAKEN ON A BULL, A $2,000 REFUND WILL BE PAID TO THE HUNTER - No refund will be awarded to the hunter in the event of wounding and losing an elk.


Extras include non-resident elk tag ($554.00), habitat stamp ($10.00) transport to Trinidad Colorado, shipping or transporting of the meat, taxidermy and gratuities if warranted.
