Zambia has for many years been on of our favorite African hunting destinations. The variety and quality of game is unmatched by anywhere except maybe Tanzania, and prices seem to be pretty constant with what we're seeing in Zimbabwe these days. I'd even go as far to say that the quality of game in this portion of the Kafue is probably the best from an overall species standpoint than anywhere else in Africa. Lance Higgins is a PH we've known for years, and use to help us out a lot on our Zambian hunts pre-closure of the GMA's. He is offering us 2 packages for buffalo/plainsgame (buffalo/sable can be done as well in a different package) in a 100,000 acre private concession. The area , Mushingashi was, up until 16 years ago, an open hunting area know as Mumbwa open (some of you know the area). It has since been looked after and the game on here is unbelievable. It shares two of its boundaries with the Kafue national park, and is +_5 hours drive from lusaka. The camp is based on the banks of the Kafue river and is very clean and comfortable. Hot showers will be available.

Due to the sound management in recent years, the game in this area is tremendous. Lion and leopard are plentiful (and will hopefully be huntable in the next year), Buffalo are in and out of the park with a few really big herds +_250/300, the Sable are world class (Lance took 2 over 46" last season) excellent Roan, really big Crocodile , excellent Puku, Reedbuck, warthog, Bushpig, Oribi, Common Duicker and a few little odds and ends. Defassa waterbuck is also available here but only available on larger safaris.

Great price and area. Mushingashi is stuffed with game and is extremely scenic.

Now and again the buff hunting can be tough and the Lions knock them around so they are constantly on the move.

Mushingashi is a great property, and Lance is a first class PH. Anyone who takes this deal should have a very nice hunt.

At this point I'm not sure. I know for 2016 this same hunt is about $2,800 more expensive, so I would have to assume it will be at least that rate for 2017.

Like you said, this is a smoking deal and hopefully someone takes advantage of it!
