We have a great opportunity to get to Africa really cheap this year. This area is in North West Namibia about 4.5 hours NW of Windhoek. This outfitter owns 150,000 acres of un-fenced property and have access to over 500,000 additional acres as part of the Loxodonta Africana Conservancy. There is a TON of plainsgame in this area, especially springbok and Oryx. I hunted here in 2009 and saw over 200 oryx every day, including some 40"+ bulls and cows.

This area is set up for bow hunting as well, so if you are a bow hunter this hunt would be perfect for you. They have permanent hides near water holes where you can sit, or you can spot and stalk the game with your bow.

Rifle hunting is done via spot and stalk from Granite Kopjie's and ridge tops.

The daily rates are as follows:

Normal Rate for 1x1 - $325/day

SPECIAL RATE - $245/DAY FOR 1X1 HUNTING That's over a 25% discount on the daily rates alone.
OBSERVERS COME FOR $80/DAY! This is over a 40% discount

THIS HUNT MUST BE TAKEN BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 15 AND NOVEMBER 30, 2011.

November can be quite hot in this area, but when it gets hot the game is more concentrated around water sources thus making bow hunting's success rate go up.


Trophy fees for the following animals on the special rate are as follows:

Oryx (male) – $695.00
Oryx (Female) – $350.00 (50% discount off the normal rate)
Warthog (M) – $350.00
Warthog (F) – $200.00 (40% discount off the normal rate)
Springbok (M) – $425.00
Springbok (F) – $250.00 (40% discount off the normal rate)
Hartebeest (M) – $695.00
Hartebeest (F) – $350.00 (50% discount off the normal rate)

If you hunted for 5 days and shot only female animals, you're looking at a $2,400 safari.

$275 - Steenbuck
$890 - Mountain Zebra
$275 - Duiker
$75 - Baboon

All of September is booked, still have some available for October 1-November 30.

The hunt is with Westfalen Outfitters, John and Juliana Van Der Westhuizen. Without a doubt some of the nicest people I've ever shared a camp with, great food and a great area! I sent my family over there last weekend, so their hunt photos should be up in this thread in the next week or so.

$475 for round trip road transfers per vehicle with up to 5 people (roughly 5 hours each way). Some of our clients have also been renting cars and driving to camp as it's not too tough of a country to navigate.
