John hunts the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge where he has an exclusive guide area. Jumping off place for the hunt is Dillingham, AK that is easily reached from Anchorage via jet or turbo prop daily. From Dillingham you would fly to bear camp by float plane.

The TNWR is one of the wildest places there is and the bear densities are at an all time high. Seeing 10 or more bears a day is common. Expectations should be for a 99% shooting opportunity on a good bear squaring 8.5'-9' plus.

Hunt can be as physical as you'd like. You can fly out to a remote pond in the hills and spike out or you can hunt right from the main camp on a big lake where you probably can take the bear around the lake shore.
