Hi everyone,

Looking at a plainsgame hunt in which a friend and myself will hunt and our wives will be along for the adventure as well.

Looking for recommendations for an outfitter that has freerange hunting for gemsbok, eland, kudu, warthog mainly and maybe a few of the little guys.

Doesn't need to be 5 star accommodation but a 5 star hunting experience is what we are after.

Looking forward to the replies...

Cheers,
Mark.

Look into Jan du Plessis with Sebra Safaris. It is free range and sounds like the kind of experience you are looking for. If you search this site, you will find many positive trip reports and recommendations.

Mark, I hunted with Shona Hunting Adventures about 2 years ago. Very nice lodge in a very cool setting (northern Namibia so terrain fairly hilly), excellent hunting, even did some fishing along the coast. They offer side trips for the ladies or when note hunting. Johann & Vera are top notch hosts. I would not hesitate to go back with them.

As Tendrams said, we book for Westfalen and have had nothing but positive reports. I hunted with them personally and will be going back.

Let me know if you'd like more details.

Greg

I have hunted twice with Jan at Sebra (2012 & 2013) and am going back in June 2015. See my Hunt Reports for details and pictures. It is fantastic hunting with gourmet food cooked by Jan's beautiful wife Mariesje. You'll be hooked if you go with Sebra.
