Outfitter: Greenleaf - Ryan Shallom

Location: Lake Rukwa Game Reserve - Western Tanzania

Dates: July 16 - 31, 2014 (16 Days)

Folks - This hunt is an opportunity to join me in western Tanzania, on a 2x1 DG safari in a great hunt location - at a greatly reduced price. If experiencing / hunting some of Africa's wild and remote - game rich areas of western Tanzania is something you have always wanted to do, give me a call.

I will be filming this entire hunt for television, thus my cameraman will be along with us on the hunt too. The area has excellent buffalo numbers, lots of cats - and plentiful PG/croc/hippo, etc. Big Sable are certainly a big draw to this region of the country as well. If you are interested, we can talk in detail about what one should/could expect.

To help keep the cost down, we will take a commercial flight on an Airbus A319 from Dar Es Salaam to Mbeya Town. We overnight
at a Coffee Plantation Lodge and drive between 7-8 hours the following day to camp. Better than a $15,000 RT air charter!!!!

Obviously I have confidence in this hunt/location, otherwise I would not be spending my own money and time on it as well. So yes, I believe it will be a very good safari.

FYI - If you truly have questions, or are interested, please email me directly at globalhunts@aol.com or my cell phone at 303-619-2872. I will be Bison hunting/guiding for the next couple of days, so its easier for me to respond that way, than via AR.

That's exactly what it says Andrew. Everything is inclusive, plus hunter pays trophy fees for game shot. I'm pretty sure everyone here knows exactly what I am saying. But just in case.

Trophy fees are NOT included in the package price. They are the only additional fee, with the exception of tips of course.

Thanks Andrew!

But we have to hunt with you? I'm just making sure I get the full scope of the deal here ... Cool at least tell me I would have my own accommodations.

That not withstanding, the Leopard deal looks pretty darn good.

Ya, my desire to hunt Tanzania is eclipsed only by my desire to spend 2 weeks in the bush with you. What are the odds of getting 4 buffalo, a lion, a leopard, a hippo and the occasional plains game on a 16 day hunt out of 1 truck?

Brad - I would be very surprised not to be successful on all of it! The most difficult will be the lion for sure. Leopards are so plentiful its just foolish bro. In 16 days I would be surprised not to see at least 500 buffalo, but probably more!! The area does in fact have a lot of PG. Brad, areas like this in TZ are a world of difference from most others - its just that simple.

In 2012 in the area RIGHT NEXT DOOR, look what Amber and I shot in 16 days, out of 1 truck. 6 buffalo, 2 sable over 40", 1 leopard, 2 hippos - multiple PG, and passed on species that we could have easily shot - but chose not to. In fact, Chris and I had as many as 8 leopards feeding on one single day. The only animal we had to go to the wire for was the lion, the rest were a piece of cake.

Dude, you and I get along just fine most of the time - come along, I'll show ya.

And this is the guy Aaron you want to have representing you on your television show? I would seriously rethink that. What a utterly tasteless comment. A true ambassador of our sport.

Mike - I am certain that Brad would conduct himself as a professional in the bush, and everybody who loves Africa deserves the opportunity to hunt Tanzania at least once. If I can help someone do that, and they too are willing to help me in return - then everyone is a winner.

Besides Mike, we can edit it how we see fit!! Smiler

I wasn't offering to "represent" anyone, If I went, I would be a paying customer and would speak as I please, just like I do now. Apparently whatever I said that offended you was worth you copying and publishing again. And as far as your "ambassador" comment, that ain't me, I'll leave that to you and the rest of your safari club jerk offs. Consider this a free bump Aaron, hope your hunt turns out as good as it sounds. tu2

p.s.
I did call the wife and asked as I stated, she just hung up on me with no reply. Guess I have my answer.

They say you are known in part by the company that you keep. That being the case, I assure you that we will not be spending time together any time soon. Seems like such a delightfully charming and well spoken individual though.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Is this George Angelides' old block which includes the Ye Ye River drainage? If so, it is a beautiful area with some dramatic views from the rift escarpment and many large acacia trees add to the scenery.

Near the Ye Ye River, many good lion have been shot at a place called Mbuga Simba.

There are good buffalo at the Lake and greater kudu on the escarpment. Also very good sable up to 47" have been taken there...

Honestly, I don't know if George had it in the past. His son Mike is a good friend of mine, we've talked about this place numerous times - but he never mentioned that.

Raoul Ramoni had this area is recent years past, and took excellent care of it too.

Raoul acquired the block when he purchased George's old company, Tanzania Safaris & (Hunting), Ltd. George and Dougie Stephenson had a beautiful camp on the high bank of the Ye Ye- lots lion there!

The block was known as Rukwa GCA back then and now its Uwanda GR?

Mike's a very good guy. I haven't seen him in a long time- I've been out of the picture...

Interesting, thanks for that!

I don't know about the name Uwanda GR, as everyone I know calls it Rukwa GR. Either way, it is a good area and I am looking forward to July.

Doesn't this concession border with Lukwati GR ?
I remember years back, George driving his tractor cleaning a hunting track on the other side of the river - it had to be the Rukwa as the Yeye was more like a large stream.
