Pieter:

Too bad most of the responses turned into a bunch of bs off subject posts.

Will these hunts take place in one of the unfenced areas adjacent to Krueger or will it be on a fenced ranch?

Thanks

It is fenced between Kruger and the hunting area, unfortunetly there is nothing like an unfenced area in South Africa, like you probably know, even Kruger has a perimeter fence. It serves as boundaries.

Thanks for the question, at least it is about the hunt....LOL!

Pieter,

I forgot to say welcome to forum earlier but welcome anyway.

BA

You'll find that happens sometimes here but they usually come back on track - eventually.... I guess you could say it's the nature of the beast.

FWIW, Pieter doesn't say which exact area the hunts are in but the areas adjoining the KNP are fenced on the outside but (in those areas) not on the side that borders the park and are as unfecenced and as wild as any SA DG area can be..... and most of those areas are very nice bush indeed.

I don't know all those areas but have overflown a reasonable amount of them and his size estimation is no exaggeration at all and could even be on the conservative side. I live about 20 minutes drive from the park and have on occasion seen buff there that'll go about 50 inches...... not often but I have seen them.

Pieter,

Let me know if you get down to the White River area and I'll buy you a beer in the only good pub in about a 50 mile radius!
