I was warned it would happen and it did. Today I was advised by Delta that my flight from Atlanta to JNB set for July 23, 2021 is cancelled. No explanation and only an Ecredit offered for the ticket pricc.

Perhaps there were not enough passengers to justify the flight but with 70+ days until take off I doubt that was the reason.

I received the same email today for my flight July 9. Fortunately I made another reservation on Qatar Airlines but it will cost me an extra day of travel each direction and a hell of a lot more money since I was traveling on a Delta business class ticket using mileage.

A friend emailed me last Saturday saying his Delta flights to SA in June had been cancelled, he was able to re-book on Emirates. Not real good news for travelers.

Look into the United flight out of Newark. Not sure how reliable it'll be, but the prices are reasonable for business class.

United flights are starting June 3 and at one time were well under Qatar pricing. If going into Zim I would look at Emirates or Ethiopian first then Qatar and United.
