We did a one day tour with the same tour outfit set up by Susan. They did a good job and we enjoyed the day. Bill, I understand the budget part but the flight see that Saeed set up for us with Seawings was amazing for showing the architecture that makes Dubai so amazing. BTW, what day of the week will you be there. That Friday "brunch" was awesome for a foodie. Just got back form Zimbabwe June 8 where I had a 24 hour layover in Dubai . Susan arranged for a 8 hour private tour and and a helicopter ride. It was outstanding!! Susan was over the top by seamlessly arranging all the many details. . | |||

Thanks for the replies guys. Shotgun, do you recall the guides name? Jim, that looks great but.... Can one "walk" Dubai? Thinking a 4 hr tour but that still leaves the rest of the day and evening. | |||

Dubai is very spread out. You can get to and then "walk" places like the malls or Souks. The mall across the street from the Moevenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate we stayed in is interesting because it's more of the "locals" mall and not full of glitz. The Olive, Spice vendors go on forever. Yes The name of the guide is tours by locals.com Tour guide Abdul Basheer Nalupurapattil He also can arranged for the Helicopter ride . If you are using Travel with Guns Susan will arrange all of the details. If you need anything else PM me .Have a great trip. Dubai is way too spread out to walk and It cam be very hot so use a guide.
