For trips in the U.S.A. I think it's also the worst airline. I will NEVER fly on American Airlines again unless I have to be somewhere and there is no other airline that goes there and it's too far to drive.
I'm not a fan of American or Ryan but I will agree with them that the survey was a piece of crap.
They surveyed 8,000 customers but in 2017, 4 billion people flew on airlines. That's a survey sample of .0002% and in the survey, only 43 people flew American Airlines

Actually, all surveys are canted one way or another, depends on who is doing it.
But, one generally does get an impression of what is going on.
As a rule, American and European airlines have dug a whole for themselves, starting with all sorts of lobbying to make sure they have as little foreign competition at home as they can.
I just want to get up and down in one piece. Speaking of SWA, Herb Kelleher passed away recently. A true pioneer of the airline industry. Sorry, Saeed, he was as lawyer. A link to some of it, but you can find many stories about this legend.
