Tuffpak
I searched the archives and found nothing lately on traveling with a Tuffpak. Are the airline (Emirates, SAA) charging oversize fees or are they considering it "Sports Equipment"?
Thank in advance.

LionHunterHave flown Emirates many times - last in 2015 - and never been charged for my TuffPak; nor have my hunting partners.
It's always ben my position that any agent trying to charge "extra" fees for a gun case that must meet both government and airline regulations for the transport of firearms does not understand the intent of their own regulations.

D. NelsonFlew Emirates last year. No problem at all with Tuffpak. Packed my Tuffpak to the hilt with boots, coats and heavy stuff, oh, rifle too.
Never had a problem with SAA until they had the debacle about "only guns" in rifle case. I think that is over with now.
Best regards, D. Nelson

FrostbitThe only issue I had in Dubai flying with a Tuffpak was that it was not recognized as a gun case and ended up on the luggage carousel since we were doing a multi day layover. I had to take it to the Dubai Airport Police office myself and that is not the normal operational procedure. It all worked out.
