I am thinking you need to check your application daily to see if you need to set up an interview.

That is what I had to do.

If they determine that you do not need an interview, it will be approved.

Yes, I have to have an interview. The problem is that I need my passport. It is not in my possession at the moment. I have had to send it off to get a visa .

Hopefully, the interviewer won’t be one of the guys that gave you a hard time a couple of years ago.

Well, that was a f'ing disaster.

My interview such that it was lasted less than a minute. The agent told me that conditional approval meant that I had to come down so they could tell me no. He asked nothing.

I am pissed off beyond human comprehension.

WOW....

Larry, that is unbelievable that they would have you schedule a in person interview/meeting to tell you NO!

Someone has put a flag on your passport.

With the freedom of information act, maybe your attorney can request for you to see what has been taking place over the past 2 years, while you have been waiting on your renewal process.

I taking a guess now, however, and thinking that someone has taken an objection to your travel and hunting.

And I’d bet it was some pissant GS-7 TSA or CBP agent at his local airport that took exception to Larry being successful, flying first class to Africa and other international hunting destinations, having a nice double rifle and quality hunting gear and a declarable amount of cash. What a crock of sh*t!

We previously made a FOIA request . There was absolutely nothing in there.

Forgot to add…an acquaintance at CBP told me that field/gate inspectors ARE able to enter derogatory and possibly disqualifying info on passengers interviewed on arrival or departure.

Ken, I was told the same. same for an airline employee when you are checking in with your rifle and bags.

Larry, you would need to know whose desk your application was at and what action was taken at each desk. these stops are not entered in to your record or who made the decision to decline your application. The person in charge followed the recommendations of that person. You need to be a mouse on the inside to really see what is happening with your application.

How ironic that a successful businessman, one who contributes to the country's economy, pays taxes and so forth is singled out and victimized by someone or a group who are against his outdoor preferences but fail to apply similar measures against the hordes of illegal immigrants pouring into the USA.

Larry has the means to have this matter investigated and to identify those behind it and hang them out to dry, hoping the lesson may be a warning/deterrent to others with similar intentions.

The sad part is they don’t tell you why??!!

We actually have laws against this sort of thing.

Any citizen, refused any services provided by a government agency, MUST be clearly explained to him why!!

No exceptions!
