Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

MJinesLove the Super Thirty floorplate. I realize it is all personal preference, but this just seems so tasteful, elegant and understated versus animal scenes, gold inlays, etc. Well conceived and well executed in my view.

bwanamrmWell executed!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Chuck,
Kind of contadictory aren't you? I thought you liked Tupperware & no frills such as grip cap & extras that add weight like a cartridge trap?

I'm not contradicting anything. But I still wouldn't own a rifle with a cartridge trap. Is there something wrong with that?

Duane sent me a picture of the target he used to regulate the iron sights.....3 shot clover leaf. I think he was bragging about his eyesight. I think it's going to be a shooter!

AtkinsonAwesome rifle, you do have the skill and attention to detail that most of even the very best never reach.
Love the clean lines and functionality of that stock..Its the pattern I am using on my 7x57, G33-40 action, Lothar walthar fwt. barrel, Brno mod. 21 bottom metal, with Timney trigger and mod 70 safety..Jack Belk is installing one of his neat engraved, hollowed,& filigreed bolt handles as we speak..I'will be proud if it comes out looking as good as yours...BTW I have a piece of Russian walnut that's black with brown marble cake or visa versa..This one will be for me and handed down to my grandson in all likelihood..

SkylineBeautiful work gentlemen. Very classy and elegant.
Nice to see these days as there is so much out there that just leaves me cold......... garish, tasteless, busy, with way too much gold and stock inlays that make me cringe.
This is very nice to see.

Curious about your comment -- Out of good steel no less(not leaded stock). I use leaded stock a good bit for scope bases, bolt handles, magazine floor plates, etc. Would you elaborate?
Thanks

ScrollcutterDuane hits the nail on the head and makes my point.
Leaded stock is easier for me to engrave, for sure . But, it dents and scratches easier too! Notice how easy it is to tear up a screw slot now days. They are almost all made out of leaded stock. It's not my choice for gun metal.
