My new 250-3000 custom
Bought the receiver from Darwin Hensley a while back. It is a small ring Peruvian. It has a LaPour safety, Blackburn trigger, Wiebe bottom metal, damascus scope bases, and a Shilen barrel. Jim Kobe did an excellent job on the Roger Vardy walnut.

That's a class act! I especially like to see a good Dale Goens checkering pattern executed well.

It is hard to see the Damascus pattern. It looks more like gold inlay up close.

I love that cart/action combo. I wonder how light you can make that rig.

It ain't light. It is 7lbs3oz without scope and rings. With the scope that I am putting on it, it will be 8lbs.

Nice rifle in a classic chambering! I like it!

Beautiful rifle Butch. I really like how the mounts turned out.

I've got one of those actions and a Douglas barrel short chambered in 250. Now all I need is a wheelbarrow full of cash, because I sure don't have the talent those gentlemen have.

I have one question, why a pad vice a steel buttplate? I can see a more practical aspect to it and the thin pad looks very good.

I just wanted a red pad. The one just before this had a metal buttplate with the trap door.
