577 T-Rex built on the GMA action with modified magazine box to hold two down in a vertical stack configuration, and snapping over a chambered round for three total. Bench-made quarter rib, front sight, and sling studs. The safety is from a 1909 Argentine. Weight is a lively 12 lbs.

Very nice rifle!

And you lot stop making fun of it.

Any decent rifleman could handle it.

It I do prefer the “non decent” ones! clap

Make sure you don’t load it too hot or the safety will set back Smiler

45 grains of UNIQUE and some Kapok with a 750 grain bullet is a great practice load.

It's regulated with 150 grains of H-4350 and a 750 grain bullet for about 2,150 fps. It will be off on a trip for Buff soon.

You are lucky to have a fast barrel.

Ours gets 2001 with 160 grains of the same powder!

You are correct. I read my notes wrong. The velocity was 2,050 give or take.

Hmmm, could be my cases. My brass has thicker walls and less capacity than the original A-Square or Horneber. My max loading is 175 grains of H-4350 with with a heavy compression. I know the other makers' brass holds quite a bit more. At 150 grains the case is 100% full with a banded solid. Maybe the less case capacity and resulting higher pressure makes the difference. Also the banded solids usually go a little faster.

In our test we used original A-Square brass, which I am not too impressed with.

That’s an absolutely gorgeous rifle!!! Not sure I’d like shooting that gun with full power loads but simply handling it would be awesome.
