gunmakerLooks Great Wayne! Does it come with a mouth guard?

bluefishNice looking but you could run woodsmoke through that stovepipe!
That'll keep a chiropractor busy :-)

rikkochetThat rearsight was vertical before the first shot was fired.
Very nice rifle!
And you lot stop making fun of it.
Any decent rifleman could handle it.
It I do prefer the “non decent” ones!

Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.
Make sure you don’t load it too hot or the safety will set back

Very nice job though!

45 grains of UNIQUE and some Kapok with a 750 grain bullet is a great practice load.
22 May 2023, 18:09
BitterrootIt's regulated with 150 grains of H-4350 and a 750 grain bullet for about 2,150 fps. It will be off on a trip for Buff soon.
It's pronouns are He/Him
You are lucky to have a fast barrel.
Ours gets 2001 with 160 grains of the same powder!

You are correct. I read my notes wrong. The velocity was 2,050 give or take.
Still lots of difference.
10 grains more for my data??
22 May 2023, 21:54
BitterrootHmmm, could be my cases. My brass has thicker walls and less capacity than the original A-Square or Horneber. My max loading is 175 grains of H-4350 with with a heavy compression. I know the other makers' brass holds quite a bit more. At 150 grains the case is 100% full with a banded solid. Maybe the less case capacity and resulting higher pressure makes the difference. Also the banded solids usually go a little faster.
In our test we used original A-Square brass, which I am not too impressed with.

JamesStamboughThat’s an absolutely gorgeous rifle!!! Not sure I’d like shooting that gun with full power loads but simply handling it would be awesome.
