Though there are no patterns drawn on these blanks at the time of this photo I did lay the cut-out over them and every last one is about as close to perfect as it gets.
There are quarter-sawn, rift and flat sawn in the group, all equally perfect when cut and layed out properly.
21 of perfection out of hundreds!

Some are FAR nicer than this small photo shows, especially wetted with oil or mineral spirits.

I have wanted to line up as many perfect rifle blanks in one photo for a long time.
21 is a LOT and I had to take two photos and crop them together, but the overall affect is the same, if not better with that many.

Too nice not to share.

And yes, some of them are available.

Adam

WOW---I have the wieners, marshmallows and coat hangers all you need to do is bring that wood. Let it burn down for a little while and then you can run a coat hanger through your wiener and dangle it over the fire until it plumps up! Big Grin

A couple weeks ago I was showing a roommate the shotgun stock I'm working on and I left the room. When I came back, the fireplace doors were open and a fire was roaring, and the stock was nowhere in sight for a minute. He was laughing pretty hard when he pulled it out from under the couch, me not so much.

That's a nice looking pile of blanks!

#9 from the left looks dense and quite strong for heavy recoil while being pretty.
Is this a police line up photo?
This is such a tease.

I buy a good deal of wood in the course of a year usually one or two sticks at a time..but before anything else I would like to see some pricing..the middle stick that is much darker than the rest interests me but I can't tell a lot about it.
