Never saw one that ornate. Albeit not to my liking/style, I can appreciate all the time one or more folks spent doing the work.

Stockwork appears to be textbook Nils Hultgren.

A very close examination may reveal his initials somewhere.

Yes, typical Nils Hultgren stock work including all the Carved Ivory. His initials are on the Carved Bear. This would have been one of his last works for Weatherby in 1963 - he went to work for Winslow Arms in 1964. Unfortunately, unknown who did all fabulous Engraving and Gold work. BTW, 300 Wby Mag caliber.

That hurt my eyes. A lot of skilled labor went into that but it's not to my taste.

When I was a kid, I lusted over rifles like this one. My tastes changed by the time I got any money.

I have always been a fan of "radical" Winslow rifles and I collected them. I owned all the ones shown below. Nils Hultgren did all the stocks and inlays. Like this Weatherby above, many people were very critical of their "over-the-top" style and poo-poo'd them . All these Winslow rifles ultimately sold for very BIG BUCKS - several sold for 5 figures $xx,xxx.oo .... proving that there are a lot of collectors today, that love the "flash from the past".
