Oh, the beautiful things money will buy (If you spend it with the right artist)!
I have enjoyed absolutely everything you've built/posted on this site!
I especially like the in-progress stuff.
Thanks,

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Did you completly remove the old barrelthreads, or did you accept that they only has about 30% contactsurface left, based on dhe difference in pitch from 16 - 16.9333

Hey Duane. Are these Zastave actions? Do you think this approach is superior to fringing two standard length mausers and cutting/welding one kurz and long? As discussed on the phone considering a .223.

Thanks.

L/H 3 position safeties for any action are pretty hard to find and as far as I know the Gentry is the only one available in left hand.

A beautiful pair of actions... like others can hardly wait to see the finished rifles. Hope you will share those with us too!

Boiled or raw linseed? I'm going try this method as I really like the Ship N Shore/SeaFin. A root method you posted on your website.

Will wet sanding with the root infused potion cause a blotchy appearance? The wet sand and wipe off with various grits is about the only way I seem to be able to get an even final finish. Thanks for the photo's they are always a treat.

Thanks, I'll try that. Inletting is my favorite part, finishing my least. Took me awhile to find a method that worked. I really like the results of the alkenet you post.

Great work Duane. I could be wrong, but it looks like Jack Daniels to me. Smiler I could use some when I do stock work, if I drank.

Duane,
I drove 38 minutes through and over the worst roads that I have been on in a while to visit Tommy Kaye. I know that I will not be driving over to see him when he is working on my Enfield! I enjoyed visiting with him, looking over his work, checking out his hunting rifles, talking hunting and so on. He has a pretty nice 1300 acre spread.
He promised to sit on your's waiting on mine. HaHa!

I'm wondering if Duane and the twins made it to the bluing tank yet. Those'd look slick in high polish. I think he took the summer off. Been a while.

When you find the perfect finish, please tell me...I want to; come and watch!

That's NO shit, I've changed things up a little, but found one near perfection...for me, maybe not someone else. I do enjoy the finishing, crank up the old school tunes and get after it. Looking good! (great)
