I know the fellow who took this moose. Yes it is a 72 incher and scores 246. not sure if that is gross or net.

It was shot by a resident of Whitehorse. I'll let him tell the story.

After looking at it a little closer, this is a pick up not a hunted moose is it?

Looks like a hunted moose. The meat is still on the skull, probably just had it in the field for a few days before this pic was taken.

Sweet BULL !!! CONGRATS!!

I leave in 3 weeks for our moose hunt. We have 4 tags in camp again this year, me being one of the tag holders.

Have a buddy that lived in the Yukon and moved to Albert couple years ago, shot a 71" in his last year in the Yukon.

Just heard about a another Yukon moose. 75 incher with 7 brow points on each side. Shot in true style, four shots from a .303!

Hey Jerry,
Come visit for sure, but when it comes time to shoot I may elbow you out of the way. There is a hole in my trophy room just for that moose.

just out of curiosity, Jim, do you have a guide license or are you allowed, as a resident, to take a non-resident/alien hunting? i would gladly let you shoot the 70 plus incher if you allow me the 65 incher! tu2

75" moose pictures were just in the local paper. The guy that shot it is a meat hunter, stands 6'5" and the antlers on their side look about his height. I was hunting that very week in the same area of the Stewart river as where he got it, wish I'd seen that old moose first.
He says he isn't interested in trophies and will give the antlers for public display somewhere. Very typical Yukon hunter, moose are just meat here.
