ddrhookI spent a very pleasant sunday at Bailey's place so I will be working on the article and will keep everyone posted on where and when it will be published. has anyone noticed the rear trigger configuration on Baileys Gun's it is sweet and makes it very comfortible to get your finger on the rear trigger too

Can you hold off a year or 2 on the article give Bailey a chance to finish all my rifles and shotguns.
Might also keep the price in a range I can afford.

CheshireHey Bailey,
I finally got up here to Wyoming. Like I said after holding the first lil double you made,"I gotta get me one of these". It is time to do this. I think I do want to upgrade the wood though. The Queen does pay better than Watercut did.
When you come up to Wyoming this year stop in Rawlins and we will take the bus on up if you want. Might even scrounge up a landowner tag.
It hasn't taken long for me to make friends up here. Owning a world class grouse dog doesn't hurt in the friend making department.
Last thing, I found the Hass we talked about.

Bailey BradshawHmmm....Haas you say

Do let me know the details
Glad to hear you made it up there. It's a cool area, and your dog should be busy, lots of grouse out on the sage. I'll be sure to give you the dates of our hunt when they become concrete.
Give me a call when you get a chance.
21 July 2011, 22:59
LilguyThis discussion is a ringing endorsement. Probably not the best way to get in to double gunning with the long build time though.
22 July 2011, 02:28
Matt MooreWell, As far as time goes I have more of it than money. I might change my mind in 20 years...but I could and will wait Lilguy.
Persoanlly, I am impressed with the quality of the work I have seen in these threads for Bailey. I have also been impressed with his e-mails...sorry Biebs! I probably only delayed your build by 3 weeks!

MichiganShooterI think a year is pretty reasonable for new orders. I think Bailey's efforts are truly commendable. He has been able to get orders, make beautiful product, and capture people's attention with his design prowess.
25 July 2011, 10:30
CheshireLilguy, I am not so sure this isn't the best way to get into double guns. At first glance the price seems high but the quality of a gun made here by a
craftsman no Artist of this caliber the value for outweights the initial costs. This will be a heirloom your grandkids will cherish.
Then look at the options of chamberings 7x57, 7x64 (my fav..ballistic twin to the .280) 9x74, .375 flanged.. the list goes on forever and the party never ends. Hey I'm not saying buy one now (it might slow down my project)

.. But we all know what is going to happen when the reviews come out..supply and demand will bring increases in price. If anyone deserves this it's Bailey. Besides wouldn't it be cool to have one 30 years from now with only 2 digits in the serial #. I wonder what the Rock Island Auction flyer would read like for that one.

elk88101I hope Bailey is not reading all these posts

I can see the demand will be overwhelming.
You will need an appointment to see him at the DSC show in Jan.
Thats if you can get by his agent and press secretary

Remember the movie "Field Of Dreams" build it they will come.
Bailey thanks for inviting us into the beginning of your future.

ddrhookBailey seamed a little miffed that I dropped some guy from this forums new DOUBLE GUN . seems the guy wanted a two barrel set. during the screaming and hollering he mentioned a picture with and elephant. ELK sorry but it CAN BE FIXED!!!!! i PROMISE

31 July 2011, 21:09
elk88101WOW
Because of all you guy's ordering these doubles I got a letter from Bailey.
MY DOUBLE HAS DOUBLED IN COST.

THANKS ALOT. :

Oh I just woke up had a nightmare.

Larry
05 August 2011, 07:46
BiebsLarry, as Bailey confided in me...you ARE a nightmare!!!! :-)
05 August 2011, 08:16
Bailey BradshawI never called Larry a Nightmare....He is a considerate, kind, thoughtfull human being who can be a little skewed in his affection for the equivelent of curb feelers and fuzzy dice in rifle embelsihment.

Larry, here is the over riding fact. Life is more interesting with you in it, and for that, we all love you...or at least like you well enough.....awe hell, I give up

05 August 2011, 19:22
BiebsBails, how are those neon blinking lights doing on the 450 NE ???? :-)
05 August 2011, 22:24
ddrhookBiebs,
the light where not the problem. But the hubcaps where a real bitch. the spinners screwed up the point of aim!!!!!! by the way Bailey said he can fix that ugly piece of wood I dropped on larry's rifle two!!! I did not know you could screw up a rifle and a ugly piece of wood at the same time in one fell swappppp he said you will hardly be able to notice the crack at all

05 August 2011, 22:43
BiebsLine the crack with gold trim with a ruby embedded at each end and he'll be happy!
06 August 2011, 02:42
elk88101Wait a minute guy's
This is going to far.
The curb feelers are gone
Only one light now
And just one ruby on the sight.
The Gold and all the other good stuff stay's

ddrhookdon't forget the beverage holder

06 August 2011, 04:53
elk88101Hey
Do you think Bailey would charge more for those suggestions.
I really like the cup holder Idea
swing out from the stock.
The fur lined Butt Pad only if I can pick the furrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Larry
06 August 2011, 08:04
Bailey BradshawThe vision I have in mind now is Larry all Duded up like the Pimp from "Gonna get you Sucka", witht eh aquarium shoes, wide brim hat with feather and butterfly collar. His new double slung over his shoulder with curb feelers off the corners and a pair of purple fuzzy dice hanging from teh trigger guard.
Now Larry, I have to tell you I do need to charge more for the impending therapy I will need to erase this image......Well you can tell by the way he uses his walk he's a huntin man, no time to talk....
06 August 2011, 08:17
boom stickI don't want a beverage holder. Maybe a cut out for a Copenhagen chew holder. A ruby bead at the rear of the fiber optic front sight. An integral iPod dock with speakers and headphone jack, a butstock flask and cigar holder, a Bailey Bradshaw made matching bayonet with gut hook.
06 August 2011, 18:25
ddrhookhe charges extra for the gut hook!!

CheshireDang it Don!
Now we will have the rest of the world beating a path to Diana Texas.
Just kidding all

aside it has been a great pleasure just watching this little project become what in a short time will be one of the most sought after doubles availible today.
Oh as for the article itself it was very nicly done and showcased Bailey and the rifle well, too bad he is so camera shy.
Those of us that are lucky enough to have been able to see his work up close, are able to truly understand your statment about how Mr. Bradshaw is a stickler for perfection. I nominate that line for understatement of the year!
100% on the article Don....full marks!

Well I guess the barrels are soldered together and allmost all the parts made.
Bail has asked for empty cases and ammo to get ready for the shooting.
November hunt date is coming up soon.
