Hi All

We are looking to put together a fund raising event for the Frontline Foundation on the 24th May 2014.

Exact details will be forth coming in the next few days but the idea is as follows:

We will have the rifle ranges at the Frisco Gun Club made available to us for the afternoon. Their electronic target system will be set to "Charging Buffalo" mode and will come in from 100m (or whatever distance we decide) and you will be asked to put 4 shots into the target with your double. The best shooting of the day will win a prize.

All the ranges will be open and available for use, along with access to all the hire guns or use of your own private guns.

I am planning to open a Hoxleigh Concession at the Club, for our shooting and safari accessories, so we will be donating a percentage of all sales made on the day to the Frontline Foundation.

There will be about $1m worth of English double guns on show and for sale, and we will be donating up to 20% of ticket value on sale of the guns to the Foundation. Diggory Hadoke will be present to provide all the information and history required on any of the guns, and will also be doing book signings, and possibly a talk/slide show about The English Gun Trade. I'm sure Dig and other members would also be happy to look at any of your guns you would like to bring along and shoot.

We would follow the afternoons festivities with an evening dinner in the clubs excellent restaurant, with a few hunts making the rounds to raise further funds for this great cause.

We will have exclusive use of the premises for the afternoon and the evening if we can get enough people to join us, and we would need about 100 to make it work. The maximum for dinner is 140 but we can have more through the afternoon.

I will be getting final details in the next few days as to weather or not we can get a final go ahead with the event, and if there will be a ticket for dinner. With our respective travelling schedules we have cut it a bit fine so hence why we are trying to gauge short notice interest.

If the event does not happen then I will probably be in Frisco anyway for a few days over the weekend of the 24th May so we can still shoot buff targets on the range, play with guns and have some nice dinners if any members are around and interested in meeting up. I will be hoping to bring a few new Hoxleigh prototypes with me that I would value some feedback on too.

Friends and family are more than welcome as always, as long as the girls don't show us up on the range too much by shooting better than us!! Wink

Let me know if you think it would be of interest and if you would like to come along hopefully we can make it happen.

Best regards,
Kiri

Sounds like fun DR extravaganza.
Any idea on ticket price?
Just needs an after dinner cigar and bourbon/Scotch soirée to grease up the wallet hinges for donations.

Damn. Just found out that this is not in San Francisco but in the great Republic of Texas.
I should have known there was not such a gun club in SF. I was kinda quizzled. Dang well never knew there was such a town as Frisco in such an un-frisco state lol. Y'all Texans better enjoy this. As if I did not need another reason to move to Texas.
