I am wondering how many of the DRSS clan members would actually participate if another get together was organized somewhere in Texas?
We had great times & made great friends Smiler,one of our members has shown the willingness to put another hunt together,so will you please pipe in & tell us if you would participate,let us get an actual count of people interested,thanks.
I put myself on the list as of now Big Grin

You have Rusty to thank for getting me motivated on this!

Me too! Thanks Bill for posting this.

BTW, our practice run on four south Texas ranches is in late May. Here is a brief summary written by Joe, the hunt organizer:
====================================
We are going to a private 10,100 acre ranch first. It is owned by an Oil and Gas Co. and they use it for corporate hunts only – no commercial hunting. I was invited to help manage herd #’s particularly Red Deer and Axis. Red Deer $550, Axis $350, Blackbuck $100 per inch, Sitka $2250 (probably not hard horned at this time), Red Sheep $4000, Trophy Scimitar Oryx $3500.

Next we will go to Lake Corpus Christi to a 4500 acre place that has 51 species. Antelope species, javelina, bovine and sheep and goats are in season.

Third, my friend Jack has own place where he lives. There are deer species, antelope species, rams and hogs. The deer species are meat hunts and $400. The antelope will be trophy sized and priced accordingly. Rams are $350 and hogs are $150.

Lastly, we will go to Hondo. The thing we want to accomplish in Hondo is to cut down on big stuff. Water buffalo, Bison, Watusi, Cow Elk.

You can join us on the whole trip or any leg of it.
=========================================
Bill, we may have room for one more on the practice run.

Is this in the firming up stage or is it a "done deal" already?

If spots are available---
Who is the point of contact for "official" enrollment (fund collection , etc.)

Have a couple of relative DR newbies wanting to hunt with their new (to them) DR's

(Might even get my gimpy old bod out for part of it.)
