Looking at different purdey prices and they are all over of the place.

This one at Champlins is a 1930´s 400Ne (the great era of double rifles) great maharaja provenance, great condition . Bad side short lop and not so common caliber. But usually these rifles can go 3-4-5-6 times the asking price at champlins 28 800 usd. I don't say its a low price but why are this rifle not valued higher ?

The 400"Light" is light weight cartridge...if youll pardon the pun!
Great Deer and Boar rifle, there are some report s of Tiger shooting with this cartridge, but not for me.
The Cartridge, and the stock length( sometimes made for women or boys) also holds it back, otherwise alot of double rifle for the price, which is IMHO USD20-25K
