I especially like the contrast between the receiver and the deep black of the barrels. Beautiful work and I expect well worth the wait.

Beautiful work and nice regulation. For the guy who posted he had a reamed out .450; why don't you have those barrels rifled? Then you would have a very nice, straight shooting, 20 ga. Might have to have it re-regulated, most likely will.

I just love it... I'm glad we're all talking about these Bore guns. For the life of me I can't believe they are not more popular.

I'm going to Argentina this year and my Shot & Ball is the only gun I'm taking. From Doves to Buff and everything in between!

Beautiful build!

I have always had a soft spot for the scalloping on the Simson guns. I understand that wood-metal fit is critical to prevent cracking when scallops are present but the look is hard to beat. The contrast between the blued barrels and the receiver beautiful. An engraved coin finish and blue is also nice but your gun sure makes an argument for your finish. Bluing the locking lever is also a nice touch.

Excellent gun. You are indeed a fortunate man to have found a 'smith who does excellent conversion work.

Nitro, that is a beautiful double rifle! Now you need to start a new one chambered for 22 LR for that little girl of yours! She will likely be ten years old before it is finished and about ready for "DANGEROUS" rabbit hunting!

You might be on to something there.
PS. She just turned 8 so she may be 11 by completion.

Dear Nitro450;

Your 20 bore rifle is the most beautiful of all modern bore rifles built that I have ever seen, including those built by myself and others on this site. It is a credit to the skill and artistic eye of the rifle builder, whoever he is. It lines, designs, balance and finish is truly a work of riflemakers art. Even the Galazan 20 bore rifle cannot be said to be in the same league as this superb work of art. It puts me to mind of following the principles of the type or work and design that comes from the shop of Hartmann & Weiss, who are the finest builders of double rifles and guns in the world today. I salute your riflemaker.
