merganser1I've spent some of the best years of my life in the Ozarks. Went to school at Ark. Tech in Russellville. Lived in Pope, Yell, Conway, and Stone Counties. I am as low as you can go in AR now in Ashley County.
You've got some nice photos of Phlox aka Sweet William, milkweed, what looks like dewberry. Your little round protrutions on the leaf look like the hickory button gall which will eventually metamorph into and insect but I forgot what species.
Be careful, your hands are close to some poison ivy especially that yellow daisy type in the second photo. I think I know it too but would need to see some leaves to correctly ID. At one time I could have named or quickly keyed out about every wildflower that grows up there.
Look on the north facing slopes in and around the moist areas for some really nice wildflowers during the next month or two. Merg

Feeding six hungry chicks ...

The Specialist
Sort of a weird view, but all 6 chicks are almost ready to go.
The nest is inside the safety plate in front of the firing line at our Rimfire club.
A couple of years back a Robbin nested in a sand bucket in amongst the targets on the quick shooting range. We put some steel plates round it and they were just fine.
The first one are blue phlox, or Sweet William as it is called around here. Possibly named after me but we're still checking!
There is also a four petal version around here but not sure of it's name.
