PalmerGreat shots. It reminds me of the famous photo of the young girl with green eys in Afganhistan some years back. It was on the cover of National Geographic.
Interesting to see the molded plastic "Walmart" chairs there.
ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS
Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

montesWell Palmer, I think you would be amazed at how far western products can reach. I have been to some palces in southern mexico, no electricity, no sanitation or running water and 2/3 of the villagers did not even speak spanish. Still you could get a coke at every smal village.

TrapperPI have some very similar photos, shot in rural (?) Turkey but some 40+ years ago. One little girl, something like five years old, cutting up pumpkins with a very big knife. Old B&W photos, what is the best way to transfer these into a .JPG or similar format? I have a great many I would like to be able to view and offer online?
Thanks for posting that up.
Lord, give me patience 'cuz if you give me strength I'll need bail money!!

SGraves155Trapper, I would think you could either use a scanner and save them as a JPG, or use a digital camera with a macro-function to photo the old photos. Look forward to seeing your picts.
