BATF Classifies .223, 6.5 Grendel and 6.8SPC as Pistol Round

BATF and EA Recent Finding.

EA has had to remove our Trident bullets in .223, 6.5 Grendel and 6.8 SPC. The BATF has ruled that all of these cartridges are now pistol cartridges. Since they are now pistol cartridges their construction now falls under the content and construction limitations of the 68 GAC and pistol cartridges.

Currently from other bullet makers like Barnes, solid .223 caliber bullets are still being manufactured and sold . We are working with our BATF IOI person to find out the following,

A) Is Barnes bullets and all other maker that constructs solid bullets in .223 going to have to stop.
B) If not then why do we have to stop since out basic shape and metallurgical content of our PFP bullets are the same as theirs?
C) Since they are now handgun caliber limited how does Magtech solid copper pistol bullets not fall under the 68 GAC as AP?
D) If Solid copper is not considered a violation of the 68 GAC in handgun bullets then it should also be not a violation of the 68 GAC to make EA’s PFP bullets from solid copper as Magtech does.

Those who have T6 ammunition and PFP bullets will be contacted by the BATF to recover any bullets or ammunition that have not been FIRED yet.

I apologize for this inconvenience and hopefully we can get this matter straightened out one way or another.

I believe that is exactly how they will begin to disarm america. They will ban the ammo, making the guns useless. Ban the lead, then ban the solid bullets as AP handgun rounds.

the ruling comes from the guys making ar's into handguns. It's been around for years now. first started with the whole cop killer bullet thing. since you could buy the 62 gr penetrators and shoot them in an ar pistol they were declared as illegal.

This stuff needs to be repealed. The 223 is so not a fucking pistol round even if a few companies are making one handed rifles to shoot these. Red tape the hell out of guns classifies infringement if you speak English. So the 223 is a pistol round and the 222 isn't? These fucking morons can't see and only smell shit because their heads are up their asses. It's not about logic I know. It's about disarming America and the undeclared war on guns. Defund the ATF.

I think we're all missing the point. Since outfits like TC and others have chosen to chamber rifle cartridges in their handguns, a move that may come back to bite us in the ass. Remember how after passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968, you had to be put in a boo if you bought any ammo that could be used in a handgun? How soon we forget. Once TC chambered the 30-30 in the Contender it was a handgun round. I've seen 30-06 handguns. It's all bullshit to disarm WE THE PEOPLE so that they can rule us like the slaves they want us to be.
God help us depending on how this nexr erection turns our. I say erection because eiher way I think we'e fucked.

What would happen if the ATF called demanding your bullets and you said you only loaded them in a 22-250 and not a .223?

About any round can be made into a handgun. Hell even the 50 BMG and 600 Nitro.

This is just a way to take away your rights. If I have to ask permission, be censored or limited and need a license it's not a right or the govt does not know what a right is. Are we the land I the free or the land of the "Please mother may I"?

Guy that works in a gunshop nearby here said he asked the ATF agent if I am suppost to be perfect at my job why don't you have to be perfect at yours? ATF agent said what do you mean? Guy said well your database shows one of our rifles as being stolen but im sitting here looking at it right now

Does this insanity include the barnes triple shock & the Hornady GMX? Both are expanding bullets. The BATF is nothing but a bunch of communist thugs bent on disarming the United States.

22-250 is bieng offered as a factory chambering for AR-15. I've held the Oly rifle and I'm sure others are or will be offering it as well.

Isn't the catch along the lines of 'if it comes in evil black gun form it can be made into a handgun' and therefore falls under the AP/cop killer bullet rules? That's why you now have to be 21 to buy AR lower recievers- because they can be made into handguns.

A good reason to load your own wildcats.
