You might remember that I was one that emailed you quite some time ago about VarmintGuy's horrendous disrespect for others and inability to tolerate anyone having a diverging opinion from his. To me that makes web sites a place to do battle and not share ideas so for that reason I sought out other sites to hang out at until just recently.
It was obvious from your thoughtful response to my email that it was your intent to give VG every opportunity to be a part of this fine site and you intended to allow him the freedom to express himself if at all possible because it was your heartfelt desire to have an "open" site. A most admirable goal on your part.
With that in mind I have no doubt that he had every chance to "clean up his act" if you will and chose not too.
I personally will in no way believe VarmintGuy was banned capriciously or with lack of thought, consideration or any sort of malice on the part of Saeed or any other administrator.
I believe his banning was long overdue and the site will be a better place for it. I also feel there are probably a lot of guys who will never be back here again that would share those feelings if they knew he was gone. On that list would certainly be many individuals who own or like Savage rifles, have had a problem with Leupold optics and doubt their ability to walk on water and especially people like myself who have lived in Montana for ever and resent transplants coming here, not respecting any living thing and doing their best to kill every thing that makes this a great state including protected animals just because he feels the laws protecting them are stupid (not his call!!!).
A lot of really nice folks have moved here in the last number of years as well as a number of overbearing clods such as VG.
To those that liked him (and you certainly have that right) and feel this is back stabbing, it isn't. I told him the same thing before moving on to friendlier sites.
As this is an open site I believe every person here should have a right to their own opinions and viewpoints and not be personally attacked, belittled, bullied or trashed for having them. For me I've discovered at 59 years that the ones I completely disagree with are the ones I really should listen too the most cause I might accidentally learn something.
I have nothing but compassion for VG, he is a pathetic little control freak whose life lost all purpose when they took his badge, night stick, handgun and license to push people around at will. It seems unlikely but perhaps he can learn something and grow from this.
If your into such things ya might say a prayer for him cause he needs em.

Thanks Saeed for the great site, I have a hunch this was not an easy decision for you, but it was certainly one in my opinion that was well made.
