Base diameter .424"
Bore diameter .360"
Seems like a great way to make a 35 Rem power level "Shotgun" especially at 2.050" case length and qualify as a shotgun.
Call it the No.3 Magnum
The original came in rimfire and center fire.
A cheap conversion on most 30-30 rifles.
Meets some State regs like Indiana.

As an owner and avid user of both rimfire 9mm and centerfire 8mm shotguns I ask why not? As long as you have a smooth bore 30-30 it would be a beauty. Smiler. Micro shotguns are a lot of fun to play with.

Thanks for the reply. Can you post pics of the shotgun shells? The idea is to use 30-30 pressures to get 35 rem /375 Win performance and still be considered a shotgun but for shits and giggles as well. What do you use yours for?

Seems like non needed solution to a problem with many other answers.

Rifled shotguns with sabots rounds ect. have fun with it if you like. But not for me.

Not for the masses for sure. A straight tapered 30-30 case could be handy in Indiana. Imagine stuffing 4 balls of 000 shot at high velocity.

Use for what their are better platforms to use with buck shot and better bullets to use in rifles.

You can do shot AND 35 cal bullets. Think of it as a mini 12 GFH. Just an idea but I thought interesting enough to share.

I will try to remember to take a pic tomorrow. I shoot squirrels and rabbits with mine in the yard as well as let the kids blast whatever they want with them. They are great for 3-4 year olds to shoot as they can hit things well and it makes shot objects move more than a bb gun or 22. Of course that depends on what the object is Smiler.
