boom stickshortened 284 win for the a.r. platform
what about a shortened 284 win for the a.r. platform??? the 6.5 grendel is all the rage right now but this would be better imho you could do .358 all the way to .17 and it would rock!

i think 358 would be a good stopping point for distance purposes...an elk/moose ar15 that will kill some terrorists.
with the 357 pistol bullets you could have a longer case or load'em long but still under 2.265" maybe have the case 1.8" or just over 1.5" for rifle bullets
338, 308, 7mm 270 and 6.5 would rock...it just depends on purpose...flat nose 30-30 bullets would be great anti personel and a woods cart and with hornady gummy bullets be versitile for longer distances with the longer case

jeffeossoar 15 is the wrong platform, when the right one exists for a couple bucks more

they are doing WSMs on the 18, so why even look at the 284, as it's rim is the same as the 308
