bartsche.375 on the 06 case....
If it is as strong as a bolt action, you should have no problems. Build one and let me know how you like it.

AtkinsonIMO, the advent of the beltless 375 Ruger that fits on a standard 98 action pretty much voids about all the .375 Wildcats..Give me a reason to think otherwise?

Bent FossdalThanks, Ray!
Classy and well documented!
I am not picking a "fight", just trying to set things in perspective, and also draw from your experience.
What makes the Ruger case supreme? If we look aside of availability and just look at the shape of the case, what is supreme? I would think a case that gave you the needed powder capasity on the smallest possible diameter, as increased diameter means redused magazine capasity.
You think the .375-06 a lousy round, while the .375 Ruger shines all day long, right?
On a charging buff, will it feel the difference in speed of the bullet? 2300 fps from the 06, 2500 from the Ruger - can one tell? With a bullet as small as .375, is not shot placement vital? And is it not easier for the average hunter to hit better with a lower recoiling gun? Both close up and far out?
How many clients have you had that placed their shots well in hunting situations at above 150 yards?
How many clients have you had that did not controle their big guns?
And if the -06 is to small, would not stepping up to the 9,3x64 case be better, as it would give one more in the magazine than the Ruger case?
