411 steyer better than 411 hawk?
would you say the 411 steyer...better than 411 hawk??? preliminarily called the 411 smack down or 411 s.d. for short...

with the advent of all the new premium 411 bullets and all the cast and premium 410 pistol bullets i would say this is one heck of a versatile round... 180 gr to 300 gr pistol bullets and up to 400 gr. woodleigh rifle bullets as well as killer 411 north forks! the only thing missing is flat nose solids (can someone make some please!)

the steyer can be pushed to 300 gr@ 2500 fps so the 411 would be more efficient with the same weight bullets able to get above the 4,000 ft lbs of energy

handy size rifle cheap brass and bullets or fancy $2 premium bullets if you need it, easy simple neck up and a HUGE variety of bullets. has this been done before? roughly the same output as the 411 kdf on a smaller platform with no belt.

what say you?

Either the .411" or the .416" "Steyr" will work. I am not convinced that .41 caliber pistol bullets are that great. They are good for forming cases without burning an expensive bullet.

The bullet choice issue is also not that big a deal since you can get a great 400 grain soft and solid in either diameter. It is nice to have multiple choices "just because", but not necessary to go hunting.
