Not going to happen but a friend and I were at the range yesterday BSing about cartridges to re-barrel a 7mm Rem Mag to and the idea hit to open the .375 Ruger case up to .458 with capacity of a Lott in a standard action.

I know one of you guys has at least thought of this if not done it but I couldn’t find it here.

This sounds like the .460 G&A. I believe they made a shortened version that would fit a standard length action.

it would be slightly smaller than my 458 AccRel - ith about the shoulder to headspace on of my 470 Accrel -- I BELIEVE that RIP built one, and had good results - it could work, and will slap the lott in the face - as starting loads on the 458 Accrel matched SPEC / beat actuals of the 458 lott

the 458 Accrel fits right into a former 7 remmag, btw so does the 470

Thanks guys, we thought it would be do-able but we spent most of the day shooting a .22-250 because we didn’t feel like getting kicked around.
