Why not stuff a 577 bullet in a 28 gauge brass shell and screw on a 28 Gauge chambered 577 barrel with a 577 throat...it should do factory 28 gauge ammo plus
shoot those cool 577 bullets.

Since the 500 Jeffery is the same casehead you could do rims on it ala the 12GFH of maybe do a headspace on the mouth thing

28ga is same as .550 cal. I done the
28ga FH 3.25" brass case, .550 barrel, in
bolt Enfield action. Chambers still handle regular 28ga plastic cases. 577 bore same as
24 ga.Ed
