I'm trying to find information ona 338 built on a 375Ruger case. The idea would be a round that could be made by rechambering a 338WinMag without any bolt alteration, and probably no or little magazine alteration.

It seems that several threads on this forum have discussed this natural niche, a standard-length beltless magnum on a .532" casehead, but I haven't found out who has such a reamer or might offer dies for such a round. Directions or help would be appreciated.

There are a few versions out there but I think the 338 Campfire is the most popular. It was done on the 24 hour campfire forum.

How about a 270/375 ruger, 130 grn at 3500 should be doable. What do you think? We could call it the 270 pronghorn.

you're welcome to it. I like the 270, a lot, but it is only a 130 gr bullet afterall.

You might have to set back the shoulder to keep enough neck for a 270-375 Ruger. I understand several of the 30-375 Ruger wildcats have to do that.
