Anyone here build or know of a build in 35BR? Mainly a midsized game round. I haven't ever heard of one. Adam

I can't remember who but I talked to someone who did a 358 BR and was quite happy with it. Contact BFG cartridges and ask him about it.

coffeeMy .358 X 41 is about .100" longer than the BR and turns in results comparable to the .35 Rem. With 300 grain gas checked bullets it reaches the energy level of the 30-06. beerroger

I am in the mood to shorten a 09' Mauser and think it would make a great pairing. Adam

What are your performance goals?
The 35 Gremlin is a sweet round and close to what you want.
See the link in my sigline.

I really don't have any at the time. Probably something that can push a 220 AccuBond decently fast. I really am trying to match the bolt face. The Gremlin uses the PPC case, correct? I am looking at the WSSM or the BR case as the Mauser bolt faces I am looking at are Standard or Magnum. Adam

I have been looking at them for a while and I really love the littel round. I live a few hours from them and once I get back home I plan on making my way over there. I think I'll end up going with the WSSM over the BR but both the would awsome. Adam

I made a 35 WSSM round a long time ago. Cool cart. A featherweight WSSM action with 358 Win power would be sweet.

I never made the gun but liked the cart.
Have you considered a short 284 case with its .470" rim?

It's a complete departure from the 357BR but I think the 50BM Super Short is the way I'm going to go. Should work on deer, right? Adam

OMG yes.
Think 50 Alaskan Power in a light short gun. Loved shooting that gun. I think if I ha to chose I would do the 458 Super Short but the 50 is so cool too. The 450SS is a like 45-70 ++P.
You can get that thing so light and short it handles and carries like a dream.

CH4D usually has dies for them in stock.

A little more grunt than the Gremlin, but not a lot.

AJ Brown in Bloomfield, IN was actively peddling them.

See I thought about that but I'd just go with the 35 Rem them. Adam

9 x 51mm pretty much covers the 357 BR except it doesn't have a small primer pocket and its 9.09 instead of 9.02.
