Boomy, it looks like they use the WSSM case to get 358 Win ballistics. This one was using necked-up 325 WSM brass. That should up the performance a bit. |

| Biebs,
I wish I would have known you wanted something like this. I have one built on a model 70. Great cartridge and I like the 225 gr Nosler BT for it. I'll try and send you my data for it.

| Yes, that's what I've found as well...the 35 Sambar from "Down Under". Sam, I appreciate the info. |

| Hey, I just determined that the case capacity for the 358 Win is 57 grains of H20, and 83 for the 325 WSM. That'll certainly give it some more horsepower! |

| Biebs,
Sent you email with data. You can get about 2900 fps with a 225 Nosler BT. Flat shooting thumper. Most loads I use are in the 2800 fps range.

| When you said 358 Win Mag I assume you mean the 338 Win Mag necked up, just as you are necking up the 325 WSM. The shorter WSM should have about 4 grains less than the Win Mag case necked up, roughly 83 and 87 grains to the top of the neck. For reference, the 35 Whelen is about 73 grains. |

| Someone else sent me a load that does 2,775 with a 250gr Speer, so it's not out of the realm of possibility, I guess. |

Just saw this thread. In Australia the 358WSM is called a 35Sambar. I have one made up on a Ruger action. I am not at home at the moment so do not have load data with me. When I get home I will send youmy loads. Cheers Greg |
