Once again I find myself in need of adult supervision. I have a potential deal brewing for a Howa Mini in 300 Blackout. I have two other Blackout rifles so I'm thinking of rechambering it to something with a little more juice. I'd like to keep it the 223 bolt face. So I'm thinking about either a 22 Nosler or 204 Ruger necked up to 30 caliber Not sure if the 22 Nosler will run thru the standard magazine on the Howa Mini. Suggestions? Any such dies out there?

The Howas Blackout has a 1-7 twist, obviously to stabilize long/heavy bullets going slow. The 300 HAM'r uses a 1-15 twust fir the 110-150 grain bullets it's designed for. Wonder it that would be a problem.

Look up the 30 HRT. It is the 30 Herrett Rimless Tactical. However, It would require you to open the bolt face.

Forming the cases from 22 Nosler would give you the .422" head with a 378" rim. John in Oregon

Johnly, that is what I'm thinking: a 308-22 Nosler run through a Howa Mini (originally 30BLK). I believe 6.5 Grendel mags would work. I'm going to check that out tomorrow.

Sell the barrel and rebarrel to 375. A 375 on a 22 nosler case trimmed to 1.76”. In a Howa you will get more OAL and more boom with 2.327” inside mag length. With a bit higher pressure I’m guessing close to 375 Win performance for a great 200 yard stalking gun. I call it the 375 Valhalla. 577 BME 3"500 KILL ALL 358 GREMLIN 404-375 *we band of 45-70ers* (Founder) Single Shot Shooters Society S.S.S.S. (Founder)

Already have a Howa mini in 6.5 Grn and 22PPC (rebarrel). Have 300 Blk in a couple other rifles. Am front-braining on something else in 30 cal with more juice and a .223 bolt face.
