As many of you already know, Nixon Dzingai of SSG Safaris operates the Malapati Safari Area bordering the Gona re Zhou in southeastern Zimbabwe. Last week he had a Spanish client kill a wonderful elephant of 101 pounds. This has been a great year for Nixon since he has already had clients kill 52#, 66# and 70# bulls. I wanted to share the photos with you of this tremendous set of ivory.

This is the 70 pound elephant

Photo of the 66 pound bull

Incredible stuff...I have been getting updates, and it seems most of these guys are getting their bulls in 2-5 days.

Great bulls. Are they hunted at night at waterholes or tracked?

Congrats to the hunter on a excellent elephant hunt. I'm really curious about the rifle though in the third pic - it's beautiful. Anyone have any details?

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Another bull was taken on the edge of Gona re zhou this year that went 93 lbs, and yet another bull was taken that went 80x77 lbs. Looks like the big boys are coming out of the park this year! Reminds me of Bots last year about this time.

That is a fantastic bull. Truly the bull - and the trophy tusks - of a life time.

Seems like every time I turn around another Spaniard is taking a couple of hundred pounds of ivory back to Spain!

I may have to move to Barcelona! Cool

Well....
Once you want to move to Spain better to go to Madrid... you never know when Cataluña will stop being Spain hammering
And you will enjoy better soccer here :-) Real Madrid

Ah, but you are so right, yet Barcelona is my favorite Spanish city.

Still, they have banned bullfighting in Catalonia, and that is hard to forgive.
