Dande East - CM Safaris - 2x Buffalo and Plains game
We returned a couple of weeks ago from an outstanding hunt with CM Safaris in Dande East. My son and I wanted a hunt in wild Africa where nothing is guaranteed.

The entire team at CM Safaris are the utmost professionals. My conversations with Buzz when booking the hunt were refreshing. He was crystal clear on what we could expect as far as opportunities and responsive with questions and quote modifications. I have to give a shout out to Lynn as well. She was always patient and responsive with my questions. I felt like everyone involved in our hunt from planning to completion were genuinely interested in us having the hunt of a lifetime.

Upon arrival we team up with our PH Keith Wall for a 14 day hunt. Keith is a top shelf hunter and probably an even better human being. Keith always maintained a positive attitude and always had a plan. With his team of trackers, we were on buffalo every morning and stalking plains game every afternoon.

In the end, we were successful on two fantastic dugga boys shot at close range in the thick stuff (exactly what we wanted). My son was able to take a jackal, a really big Grysbok, a 220+ pound hyena, a big Kudu bull and a beautiful/ old Impala ram. These were all the animals that Buzz said we would have an opportunity on. Keith’s skills and capabilities allowed us to capitalize on them.

If you are looking for a wild place in Africa where you will have legitimate opportunities at great animals look no further than booking with CM Safaris!

Congrats! I agree with you on Keith. Gari, Matseko, and Ford are good as gold too. I can't wait to take my boys with me one day when they come of age. That must have been something special. Best,

Good deal! Glad you were both successful, I really like hunting Dande East, it is very thick and one can really get close to a buffalo if you are willing to work at it. CMS does a really good job all the way around.

Outstanding. CMS always goes the extra mile for their clients.

My son and I are booked again with them for buffalo in October. I can't wait to get back there.

Hunted with Ian Gibson (he was quite the joker, RIP) over 20 years ago. First animal I shot was a "big" Grysbok. We were driving in the bush and Ian spotted the Grysbok then said "that Grysbok is huge, get out and shoot it now". He kept saying it was a huge one (it was) and I kept thinking he is messing with me and pulling my leg.

I came back to camp and my wife laughed at me. I told her that Ian said it was a record book trophy. She said, "I thought you came here to shoot a Cape Buffalo, not little baby antelope."

Anyway, your "really big Grysbok" comment brought back great memories, thx. Congrats on a great hunt. Please post pics if you have them.
