Anton,

If it was my lion it would be famous because he would have posted on every forum around.

Big Grin yep if it were mine too, but if you read some African/animals blogs around the net you can see a specific lion mentioned many times.

Bruce is an AWESOME PH and person. I hunted with him for a few days and laughed the whole time.

Mike,

Your comment reminds me when I was young...

I will be happy when I shoot a huge caribou and have a great shoulder mount. So I get one. Good, but I will be really happy if I get a Dall sheep. Bam. Go get it. Actually, i will be really happy if I can get a grizzly bear. That done, now I need...

About the only thing I have not shot that I have ever wanted is a Marco Polo. But I realize that it won't improve my life as much as I think, and besides, don't you need something to live for?

Man that lion looks like it has a long, thick, black bib. Any other pictures of it!

nope, you are mistaken Fujo!

Personally - AND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION - i feel that the pose shown in the above photo is the least attractive trophy photo for a cat because it "pulls" the face and mane back and makes it look unnatural. I see that pose alot in trophy photos of both lion and leopard and wander if more angles have been taken. IMO, Raoul Ramoni, is one of the best photographer of lion and leopard trophies I have seen. His poses and set-up bring out the best in a lion's mane and the best in a leopard's size!

That is the only picture I have seen of that lion. I will ask Martin if he has any others.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
