It's so cold this winter I saw a lawyer walking around with his hands in his own pockets.

Good one, Charles.

But I know them all.

Only one thing prevents me from telling them.

Isn't that the reason sharks don't attack lawyers?

As I see it, the only issue that needs attention is were the T/Cs stolen or not.

I can only imagine two possible scenarios. Either they were stolen and someone forged the signature and then tried to cash them or someone paid them and then reported them stolen.

Either scenario makes the culprit as dumb as a sack of spanners but nevertheless, the best possible thing that could happen is for the two parties to privately settle their differences, sort out who owes who money, get it paid and shut the hell up.

The third option is they were signed under duress.

If that had been the case it seems logical that he would have mentioned this as soon as he got back.

True. Just pointing out there is a third option.

But there is a lot in this mess from both sides that doesn't make sense.

Give up?

A lawyer's necktie.

What else I know about lawyers, many will not join the ABA (American Bar Association) because of their bent toward "progressive" causes.

The toughest judges on sentencing are usually those who were formerly criminal defense lawyers.
