Picture of Hunter's Wife-To-Be
posted
I became the hunter's wife on June 11.

Although I still read here from time-to-time, I have not posted since he took me on my first hunting trip to Africa last summer. Hopefully, you have not completely forgotten me!

We bought a beautiful new home and were married in our backyard last Saturday with family and close friends present. It was small, casual, and absolutely perfect. We took a short honeymoon trip to Tybee Island, Georgia for now, but are looking for our next opportunity to return to Africa as a big honeymoon later.

And although this is not a hunting report, I'm still sharing pictures!

And these are my four boys!

Thanks for indulging me!

Congratulations! Yup, think of a new 'name' for here and hang out. Find a way to get those boys to Africa as well!

Congrats and best wishes! Just remember, every time he gets a rifle you should too.

Is it a match made in Heaven, or Africa?

Congratulations to both of you. beer

How about just deleting the "to be" and become known as "Hunter's Wife?"

Best wishes for the planning of your next [big honeymoon]safari to Africa! Wink

Lack of knowledge – by instruction. Lack of skills – by practice. Lack of experience – by time doing it.

One cannot cure:

Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Love the frame thing. Too funny!

I just got married as well. Tried to talk the wife into an African honeymoon but she wouldn't hear of it. She wanted to go to Greece. I looked high and low for anything to hunt there. Nada. So we just sipped wine and did lots of sight seeing.

Congrats to you both and blessings on many years of togetherness.

Trophy pics!

I've been married so long that I don't even look both ways when I cross the street.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
