Thought you might like to know about these gems, 225gn 8mm and 170gn 6.5mm designed especially for military mausers (I got them on back order);

Special order moulds from Lee through Midsouth Shooters Supplys.

BAW - is the 45-120 based on the RCBS Basic brass case , or is it a copy of an existing calibre ? I need a specimen of the cartridge if possible ...?

Both are the same except for 1 in 18" twist for 45/120 and 1 in 14" for RCBS. I'll give you a shell when you are over if you can get it back through customs!

G'day Grossenfarter-to-be, I get the impression you've tried cast bullets in the 270 (AI?). Any good? I'm interested from the 'plinking' point of view in my 270win. Any thoughts?

130gn RCBS with 16gn 2400, shot OK (2" at 50yds) however I've always found the small more efficient cases to shoot cast better.
The pistol cals 32/20,38/40,44/40 give much tighter grouping if loaded with care.
My favourite cast calibre is 7X57 with RCBS 145gn. 28.5gn AR2206 goes 1800fps with MOA grouping.

I have both of them on back order too! Just heard yesterday they have my 6.5 ready to ship, but only 9 of the 8mm ordered (out of the 25 needed for Lee to cut them).

We need to find someone to order up the 8mm's, and soon! I want to load some! NOW!!
