muzzaBAW - is the 45-120 based on the RCBS Basic brass case , or is it a copy of an existing calibre ? I need a specimen of the cartridge if possible ...?
09 March 2004, 11:09
Bad Ass WallaceBoth are the same except for 1 in 18" twist for 45/120 and 1 in 14" for RCBS. I'll give you a shell when you are over if you can get it back through customs!

rugeruserG'day Grossenfarter-to-be, I get the impression you've tried cast bullets in the 270 (AI?). Any good? I'm interested from the 'plinking' point of view in my 270win. Any thoughts?

Bad Ass Wallace130gn RCBS with 16gn 2400, shot OK (2" at 50yds) however I've always found the small more efficient cases to shoot cast better.
The pistol cals 32/20,38/40,44/40 give much tighter grouping if loaded with care.
My favourite cast calibre is 7X57 with RCBS 145gn. 28.5gn AR2206 goes 1800fps with MOA grouping.
