I put a lot of time in on them. The camera doesn't tell you about crawling though tussock on knees in summer in Australia lol. The viewers only get the end result not the pain.

Been watching a feel reels from Sunshine Coast snake catchers. Man those browns are fast! And sneaky. Fuck living with them around. Id be carrying a 410 everywhere.

And now Im starting to wonder about you sending me into that long grass with a shovel to find the one the postie was worried about.

Did I mention on here that I saw movement and looked down thinking a little scrub wren was frigging around under my computer table in the shed? It was a farkin brown snake two feet from my left foot. About a week ago.

Hard to tell. Id expect to see more gunk and a whiter colouration with more weeping.

They are pretty blue and milky which is not so evident inthe pic

its as dry as a witches tit in parts Shanks. The berries are green especially along the creeks but sambar being sambar they still stay in good order.
I have notice young calves on the ground from a month ago..way out of order mind you.

People are feeding out all over and the ave temps are over 30 for another week.

Btw that hind above has twins in that dry country and shes doing pretty bloody good.

Id guess the sambar has a stomach that can deal with dry rough feed?

All the deer species can handle it if thats all they have.

I did take a lot of snaps Shanks and the scene was pretty fukn good to witness.Nice to get some light for a change.

The light, and the gnarly gum and the background. Its a great composition.

mate i took the aged pension eight years ago...got the time but not the money...i know which is the better for a longer life.

You have had the benefit of seeing his up close pics and video (45 yards) front on mate and know that he has a good handy length,great wide shape,magnificent brows,inners are a tad short. The weight of beams etc suggest that he could do with a couple more years to make cracker class although lots would knock him over now. He is however atm at 6 years 5 months and 12 days a very nice stag for those that hunt sambar.
As you know the above pic doesn't show his true quality. He might make it into the WDHA`s magazine hence not displaying the close up pics.
