That last photo. I would even risk waiyting for him to turn round. Projectile through the tailbone and a quick reload. Once in a lifetime stag that one.

He is a rock solid stag mate for sure. I love the weight up in the top tines.

I remember looking down that long valley at your old place just on dark and seeing a really big guy come out and it was too late.
I also remember that huge one about 450 meters up in the bush from us following that hind i spotted. Near that bloody dirt bike track. he was out of there as soon as he heard a strange sound. They dont get big without reason.
Believe the shadowed one, next one, and one with tail to, horns way to the side, and this hazy long distance pix. All are exceptionally big compared to the many pictures I've seen.
Sure would have liked to of gotten down there to hunt with Ian Tanner/sambar02 before he died. He killed a bunch of them. But I never saw any racks like these. I offered to be a forwarding buddy for his bunch of hunting mates. They filled my place up with buys from the US that I reshipped over back then. As a tip he sent about 50 Hunt Australia magazines. I enjoyed Harvey's writings most, lots of good articles and pictures. Even those I don't recall ever seeing any racks as big as these.

George the pics of the silhouetted deer and the arse end are the same stag. I saw him and others 800 yards away and managed to get to them with some effort and got close and followed them for circa 400 yards across the hill face until I couldn't proceed further without giving myself away.

From one stalker to another thank you.
Same as one of above,he crossed in front of me and went East as i photographed him,its a pretty good experience seeing these stags up close. Far better than 100`s of yards away..but then even that is good too.

------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Ah right. I use Imagur and that lets you choose the size.
