RUGER Customer Service advises that 2018-2019 LIPSAY'S had a special run made K1A Light Sporter, Stainless, $1995!!
I do have a gunsmith who would rebarrel one for you, and it wouldn't take a year, maybe 3-6 months. PM me if you would like his contact. He dressed up a 95 Win for me, repaired a stock break for CHOPPERGUY, and built him a cool target rifle. He is good and reasonable!!

I just learned today in pursuing a 275 Rigby from Lipsay's in Louisiana did have Ruger run a Ruger #3 Sporter in 30-30 Win in 2018-19. They are sold out.
I would put up a Wanted to Buy ad on Guns International for $15 to try to find one.
Otherwise, find a smaller bore #3 you like and have rebored and rechambered. JES Engineering or OREGUNSMITHING do the work for about $450. A rebarrel is about $1000. Turn around is reasonable.

Good luck in your pursuit of a custom No3 . They do make into a great little carbine. Mine is not for sale but and is one of my favorites.
I had PacNor fit and chamber a light 22 inch barrel in 20 Ackley Hornet. I rust blued it myself and fitted and finished an English walnut stock.
Turned out great and is a tackdriver. Has taken many Montana goghers.
