Roedeer hunting with Huntromania
In the beginning of may i went to Romania, 1 may roedeer season would be open.
The hunting field was in the Satu Mare area, small agriculture and forrest.
The outfitter was Marius Merutiu, and the local guide was Vasile.
I used a 7 mm rem. Mag. because there was also a chance on big wildboar!
On the opening day, we went ou, and soon we saw a sick roedeer, it had a skin disease, but it run off.
On the same field there was another shootable roedeer, i set up the tripod, and soon my first roedeer for the season was a fact.
On day time we took a nap, and in the evening we went out again, that evening i shot nr 2!
The next morning we went to the field where the sick roedeer was, and we where lucky, this time i could shoot it, i was shocked by al the abces it had! And it had a abnormal throphy!
For the next following days we went out with good luck! In 4 days i was able to shoot 8 roedeer!!
And i saw many more, also some real big ones, with throphy wait over 700gr, the place was filled with roedeer, i never have seen something like this! And the guide Vasile, he was a real professional, i had a really good time with him!
The last 2 days i went to Marius his private area in the mountains, where he would guide me himself!
Unlucky it was bad weather in the mountains, but we manage to shoot a nice roebuck, in a very nice place!
Overhere, we saw also a monster wildboar, but it was far away, and it did not come at the feeding place.
The hotels that Marius selected where very good! The food was perfect, only for that i wanne come back.
Both Marius and Vasile where real professionals, and did now there area very well!
Next year in may the will see me back!

Thanks for the report - it looks like you had a good time. The sick roe deer does look pretty bizarre! Was it underweight, too?
